OK I have tried to stay away from posting this but its just too damn good. Remember kidsrespect the copyright of others and delete this file after 24 hrs. The file is only for sampling.and that doesnt mean… (in post My Medicine from White Folks Get Crunk. )
One of my main passions is heavy metal music so I thought I would review one of my favourite albums by my favourite band, After Forever.
After Forever is a 6 piece female fronted metal band from the Netherlands. The names of their albums are Decipher, Prison of Desire, Exordium, Invisibe Circles, Remagine and After Forever.
1. Discord: This song is a great starter for the album. It includes both Floors vocals and Sander's grunts. The song starts with slow keyboards before going into the heavy guitars and Sanders grunts.
2. Evoke: I love this song, it starts off slow before suddenly going into Floors operatic vocals. When i first listened to this song i thought wow, amazing.
3. Transitory: This is a really heavy song and makes you just want to head band around your living room. It doesn't ease you into the heavy guitars like the previous songs it just goes straight into it. This also includes Sanders grunts as well as Floors vocals and if you're into your heavy music you'll love this song, its great.
4. Energize Me: This was the first song i heard of the new album as it was the first single taken from it and it made me even more excited to hear the rest of the album. It's not one of their heaviest songs but it certainly has its heavier moments and the chorus is really catchy.
5. Equally Destructive: Ahh now this song is totally awesome. I just love everything about this song. It's definately heavy, catchy and metal all at the same time. Floor has to be one of the best female vocalists in the metal world, she can do everything and she proves how good she is on every song, this is no exception.
6. Witherin Time: The beginning of this song is great. It's very operatic. Sander also uses his grunts in this song and this song has a bit of everything. Grunting, opera, guitars and an awesome finish.
7. De-energized: This song starts off very slow and i've always thought the beginning keyboards sounds like they could be in some kind of movie like maybe a comic book movie (x men, spiderman etc). It then goes into heavy guitars, guitar solo's and grunts. The song has different moods through out and it rocks!
8. Cry with a smile: After Forever always has at least one ballad on their albums and this is the first ballad on here. It's such a beautiful song, the lyrics are so moving "Why is there pain in a beautiful moment, who do i feel so lost, so empty?"
9. Envision: Back to another heavy song that immediately goes into the guitars and keyboards.
10. Who i am: This is a duet between After Forever and metal singer Doro. It's an awesome song that shows just how good Floor and Doro are and how their voices fit so well together.
11. Dreamflight: After Forever usually have at least one long song on their album and this is it. This song is just over 11 minutes long but it doesnt lack anything because of the length. It's also the only song on this album where Bas has a solo, it includes vocals by Floor, Sander, Bas and a choir in one song. It has ballad parts and heavy parts, now this song really does have everything.
12. Empty memories: This is the second ballad on the album but still includes guitars, it's failry slow and beautiful.
13. Lonely: This is a bonus track on the album and include Joost on the keyboard and Floor on vocals. It's a ballad and its so beautiful, definately the most beautiful song After Forever have done i think. You actually think Floor is in so much pain when listening to this song and she must have been going through something really hard when writing it.
All in all the albums is awesome and i love every song on it.
